General Secretary for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has stated that appointment of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCE’s) has been well managed despite the recent spate of acrimony that has surrounded some appointments.
Mr. Nketiah admitted that members of the appointing committee mandated to select these MMDCE’s are human and could make mistakes, but, their efforts have been managed well.
The President’s nominees for the positions on MMDCE’s have faced some stiff opposition in some districts in Ghana, some of which have led to the destruction of government properties in some areas nationwide.
But General Mosquito as the NDC scribe is popularly known, told Happy News on Tuesday that the situation has been well contained with about 80% of those nominated being confirmed by their District Assemblies.
