End SARS protest cannot be undermined - Nigerian Politician

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank has said that any plan to halt the protest against Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) will fail because the movement has no leader who can be targeted.

Giving an update on the happenings in Nigeria, he informed Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, “The end SARS movement has no leader. Those protesting are legitimate Nigerians protesting on the streets. Protestants in America, London and Nigeria are all part of the end SARS movement. We have no leader and this is a collective idea. Because it has no leader, it cannot be ended or end”.

He lamented the unjust treatment that SARS had subjected Nigerians to when he said, “SARS is a unit under the police to handle a particular section of the police. This body has gone against the reason it was constituted to do. They kill and shoot innocent Nigerians.

If you have dreadlocks in Nigeria and have a different type of hairstyle and you have an encounter with SARS, just know you are gone. These people kill the innocent people of Nigeria and until recently they killed the wrong person and the people sparked the movement. They arrested him, killed him and took his car from him and that is what sparked the SARS protest locally and internationally”.

Nigeria’s celebrities and activists started protesting against police brutality and demanding for an end to SARS, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad accused of harassment, unlawful arrests and extortion weeks ago.
