100 Days to Go: GMABC begins Ghana's General Election Countdown

Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), comprising Happy 98.9FM, YFM Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, and Eproductions, has launched its 100-day election countdown, marking the beginning of the final stretch towards Ghana’s December 7 polls.

The daily countdown quotes on social media, feature peace messages, the essence of democracy, and quotes from renowned political actors and advocacy groups across the globe.

Also, the daily podcast-like Countdown audio files, recorded by on air personalities of Happy 98.9 FM, reinforces and reminds the Ghanaian populace that the country is made up of diverse groups of people, hence the need to uphold the culture of tolerance.

With its flagship community engagement dubbed Happy On Wheels, Happy 98.9 FM facilitates civil dialogues and engagement amongst the various parliamentary candidates and various political actors, compelling them to undertake peace pacts.

According to Timothy Karikari Ph.D, Director of Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance Group, “The next 100 days will be crucial in shaping the outcome of the elections. We are committed to providing comprehensive coverage of the Ghanaian elections, and we urge all Ghanaians to stay tuned for updates, insights, and expert opinions as we count down to December 7.”

The General elections will see the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by Vice President Mahamadu Bawumia, face off against the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by former President John Mahama.

The GMABC Election Camp, promises to bring comprehensive coverage of the general elections. With correspondents across the 16 regions of Ghana, the GMABC Election Camp will provide in-depth coverage of both the parliamentary and presidential elections.

The parliamentary elections will see all 275 seats in the parliament up for grabs, while the presidential election will determine the next leader of Ghana. The GMABC Election Camp will provide live updates, analysis, and insights from across the country, ensuring that voters are informed and up-to-date on the latest developments.
