The Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has announced that about 15,000 students have already received financial support under the newly introduced “No Fees Stress” policy, ahead of its official launch by President John Dramani Mahama. The update was shared via his official Facebook page on Thursday, July 3.

According to the minister, disbursements are ongoing, with remaining beneficiaries set to receive payments shortly after completing the verification process.

“About 15,000 students have received disbursements under the policy. Remaining students will receive payments shortly after verification. President Mahama will officially launch the policy tomorrow, 4th of July, 2025 at Koforidua,” he stated.

The “No Fees Stress” initiative is a flagship policy of the Mahama administration aimed at easing the financial burden of tertiary education on Ghanaian students.

The event is expected to draw stakeholders from the education sector, student groups, and members of the general public.
