SPorts Minister tells GFA, "If you have money to buy air-tickets for the Black Stars, do so"

Ghana’s Youth and Sports minister, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, has reiterated that his outfit don’t have money to pay for the air-tickets of the foreign based Black Stars players invited for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Rwanda on September 3 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, Hon. Nii Lantey told the Ghana Football Association to buy the tickets if they have the money to do so.
The minister holds that it would be prudent for the coach to use a locally assembled squad for the game since we have already qualified for the AFCON so that we can save some money for the Black Maidens who have their world cup pending in Jordan.
“I have told the Black Stars management committee chairman, who is also the vice-president of the GFA that we don’t have money for air tickets to our foreign based players. We have helped the team to qualify already so we have suggested to them to use a locally assembled squad so that we save money for the Black Maidens’ assignment in Jordan as well as the national paralympic team who are going to Rio. If the GFA have money to buy tickets for the Black Stars, they should do so.” Nii Lantey told Happy FM.
The Black Stars are expected to start training today at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the clash against Rwanda but it’s uncertain whether the players are coming on their own bills or through the GFA.
