PERRY BAKA WINS HAPPY FM’s ‘AGOROHENE’ REALITY SHOW

Perry Baka, aka Don Perry, a 27 year old Teacher in the Central Region has emerged winner of the most innovative radio reality show organized by Happy FM. Perry beat off competition from many contestants who entered the competition yearning to be ‘The Agorohene’.
The race involved five final contestants who competed in various on-air sports presentation activities like commentary, analysis, etc on Happy FM at different days for the public to vote for the best amongst them. Perry’s sterling performance throughout the competition endeared him to the voting public.
Sharing his excitement after the competition, Dennis said, “It has always been my dream to present sports on radio one day and Happy FM has made this dream come to reality. I believe Happy FM can help me hone my skills and I am ready to learn from the best presenters at Happy FM in order to develop my talent.’’ It has been a tough and exciting period because I had to bury my Dad during this competition and am super glad to be the winner.’’
The four weeks on-air competition saw all five contestants exhibit their talents in order to outwit each other for the coveted prize. The practical activities in the show also made the contestants realise that being a radio presenter isn’t as easy as it may seem.
For his prize, Perry gets a mobile phone and an opportunity to join the Happy FM sports team.
‘The Agorohene’ is a radio show focused on grooming a young individual who is ambitious to be Ghana’s next Sports Presenter ‘Agorohene’ is from the stables of the most listened to sports station in Ghana, Happy FM.
