Emmanuel Gyamfi’s brace ensured Asante Kotoko came from behind to beat Legon Cities 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on match day two of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

Legon Cities scored the first goal of the game through Panagiotis Papadopoulos in the eighth minute of the first half.

Asante Kotoko lifted their game and nearly got the equalizer in the 32nd minute as Songne Yacouba failed to tap the ball into the net.

Few minutes later the Burkinabe International pounced on a loosed ball halfway the Cities centre half and provided a through pass for Augustine Okrah, who went  head-on with the goalkeeper to lob the ball over him for the equalizing goal.

Emmanuel Gyamfi  got the second goal for the Porcupine Warriors in the 51st minute after he intercepted a back pass from Cities defender’s back pass to goalkeeper and placed the ball into the left bottom corner.

Gyamfi got his second goal of the game in the 60th minute to secure the win for the Porcupine Warriors.

Asante Kotoko move to the summit of the league after this win over Legon Cities
