2021 Women’s Premier League wrap-up: Mukarama bags hat-trick as Berry Ladies beat Immigration Ladies

The Ghana women’s premier league resumed this weekend after being on break for 9-month due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
.2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Golden Boot and the Bronze Ball winner, Mukarama Abdulai announced her return to the domestic league with a hat trick on Saturday afternoon when her side, Northern Ladies beat Ashtown Ladies 3-1 at home.

Comfort Baah got a consolation goal for the away side in the Northern zone .

There was a local derby in the Southern zone as Berry Ladies welcomed Immigration Ladies to the Madina Astro Turf Park.

The highly anticipated encounter ended 3-2 for the home side with a brace from Eugenia Tetteh and her mate, Nina Norshie. Captain of Immigration Ladies, Rumanatu Tahiru and Francisca Asabea were also on the scoresheet.

PearlPia Ladies 1-1 Fabulous

At the Utrecht park,Pearlpia Ladies were held to a 1-1 draw by Fabulous Ladies with goals from former Black Queens player,Agnes Aduako for the away side and Bassira Alhassan for the Northern giants.

Kumasi Sports Academy 1-1 Ampem Darkoa Ladies

Two-time Ghana women’s premier league champions and twice Super Cup winners,Ampem Darkoa ladies managed to a pick a vital away point when they clashed with Kumasi Sports Academy at the Okese Park in Ejisu. Priscilla Okyere scored the first goal in the 6th minute for the visitors before Constance Achiaa scored the equalizer for the home team.

Prison Ladies 1-2 Supreme Ladies

Supreme Ladies got off to a flying start in the league against Prison Ladies at the Coronation Park after the security officers at their backyard.

The action continued on Sunday at the Robert Mensah stadium as football advocates were served with impressive performance.

Ladystrikers 1:2 Hasaacas Ladies

Ladystrikers were piped in their backyard by the “Dooo” girls. Veronica Appiah put them in the lead after heading home a cross from Milot Pokua in the 34th minutes.

Black Princesses midfielder,Suzzy Dede Teye gave Ladystrikers a consolation goal in the 71st minutes through a beautiful from a free-kick.

Veronica Appiah got her brace to seal the game for Hasaacas Ladies in the 79th minutes.

Two matches in the Southern Zone has been rescheduled to Wednesday.
The COVID test results of the home clubs involved not released yet.
Per the protocols, a match can’t be honoured when results are not known.

Police Ladies will take on Thunder Queens at the McDan park whist Soccer Intellectuals welcome Sea Lions at the Ajumako.
