Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu has announced that Government plans to construct a multi-purpose Judicial Training Service in Accra.
He made this announcement during his delivery of the 2021 budget statement in Parliament today.
“Government will commence the construction of a multi–purpose Judicial Training Institute in Accra in 2021”, the caretaker Finance Minister stated.
Giving more update on the 2020 Performance and Outlook for 2021 of the Judicial Service, he disclosed that the Mankessim Court Complex in the Mfansteman Municipality as well as the High Court, Odumase Krobo in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality are scheduled for opening in 2021. These Courts when commissioned, will be automated and connected to the Direct Transcription System (DTS).
He also noted that under the National Digitization Project, the Judicial Service benefitted from scanning and digitization of court processes for the 43 High Courts at the Law Court Complex in Accra.
