Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nana Oduro Sarfo believes the promises made by the Association’s president Kurt E.S Okruku during the 29th Ordinary Congress in Kumasi on Monday are doable.
Kurt, during his address at the 29th GFA Congress, made several significant announcements, including plans which are underway to establish a coordinating office in Accra to oversee the operations of Regional Football Associations (RFAs).
Kurt also stated that the Asscoiation will provide GHC 100,000 for the purchase of footballs to support regional competitions, ensure adequate equipment for young players and promote grassroot football.
He added that Regional FA chairpersons will receive pickups to enhance their mobility and administrative capacities, enabling them to serve their regions more effectively.
Nana Oduro Sarfo believes the numerous promises made by the FA president are possible and would be funded by FIFA.
He further stated in an interview on Happy FM,
90 percent of promises made by the Association last four years have been achieved.
Nana Oduro Sarfo refuted claims the Association has influenced player selections in the national teams over the years and rather believes players called deserved it.
