GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku opened the 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) today, August 27 with a strong message of optimism for the future of football in Ghana.

Addressing delegates at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, Okraku declared, “Ghana football is on the rise. We’ve seen our GPL teams compete in Africa talk of teams like Dreams FC and Medeama SC. Congratulations to them as well”.

Yesterday, he led a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new gym and swimming pool at the center, signaling a commitment to improving the facilities available to players and officials.

These projects are part of a larger initiative that also includes the newly launched 40-seater hostel, designed to elevate the standard of training and accommodation.

Okraku reassured the attendees that the GFA has the financial resources needed to see these projects through to completion with the help of FIFA.

The Congress, a two-day event, which concludes today has seen football stakeholders from across the nation to discuss strategies and initiatives.
