A 16 year old student of the Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School was the toast of judges as the auditions of YFM’s latest reality show, The One, moved to Takoradi over the weekend.

Victoria who was among over 30 other contestants to audition in Takoradi exhibited class and skill in her performance which got Kwame Legend, one of the judges and a presenter of YFM Takoradi, throwing a challenge that Victoria will emerge the eventual winner of ‘The One’ Reality Show.

The show is focused on grooming a young individual who is creative, charismatic, ambitious, funny and most importantly is extremely passionate about being a radio presenter. ‘The One’ is a game changer coming from the stables of the most listened to youth radio station in Ghana.

Takoradi auditions did not disappoint as it produced very talented young men and women who are passionate about radio and showed glimpses of what they can offer. YFM Takoradi’s Kwame Legend and PM as well as YFM Accra’s Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong (Soul Man, also known as Nokus) who judged the auditions were not easy to please.

According Nokus, “I am surprised with the talents of the contestants and the skills the passion and skills shown by some of the contestants. This tells us that we have numerous young people out there who are yearning to be given the platform to show what they can offer.’’ With what we’ve seen in Takoradi I can’t wait to witness how the Accra auditions will go on the 22nd of October, Nokus stated.

Contestants who were passed will go into the next closed audition against the best of Kumasi and Accra to choose the 8 finalists. These 8 finalists will battle it out on radio and TV until ‘The One’ is chosen on the 4th of December.
