Broadcast rights owners of the Ghana Premier League, StarTimes, has disclosed that they will telecast forty (40) matches in the first round of the ongoing league campaign.
StarTimes, has already released a complete schedule for the matches to be telecast LIVE matches on television,including the Week 10 Ghana Premier League derby between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, 29 April 2018.
Under the new schedule, matches will be broadcast LIVE from five selected venues compelling other clubs to play two of their home matches at neutral venues.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi, Red Bull Arena in Sogakope, Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa and Cape Coast Sports Stadium are the five venues selected for the LIVE telecast.
The Nduom Stadium at Elmina will also host some of the special matches.
Officials at StarTimes say they could show more matches in the second round, meaning, over 80 matches are likely to be shown live this season.
