e.TV Ghana, organizers of the prestigious Ghana Fashion Awards (GFA) has released a final nomination list for this year’s event.
According to organizers, the list which consists of 26 personalities comprising fashion designers, models and celebrities had gone through thorough scrutiny by the judges of the event to present to the public a true representation of people who have contributed immensely to the Ghana Fashion industry under the calendar year.
Based on this list, the judges will select winners for the main event on Saturday, November 19 at the Mercedes Benz Showroom at the Silver Star Towers within the Airport City in Accra.
Speaking ahead of the event Kwame Gyan, Head of Brands Communication and Marketing at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company said the Ghana Fashion Awards is an opportunity to bring together the fashion industry players to share ideas, network and to celebrate the Ghana fashion industry.
“As we have been saying, Ghana Fashion Awards is to essentially help build the fashion brand in Ghana which celebrates photographers, fashion designers, accessory makers, stylists, models and celebrities among others,” Kwame Gyan stated, adding that, “we have received a lot more nominations this year and we are happy with the increased interest that the general public and fashion designers have put in this event”.
According This gives us enough hope that the fashion industry in Ghana is growing and giving more opportunity to the public.’’ We are particularly happy of the fact that more new and emerging designers are participating in this year’s event, he added.
