79 and 80-yr-old couple win fastest man & woman at Happy FM Family Fun Run

Anyone who has ever tried long-distance running knows that it’s not a piece of cake even when you are young and in your best shape.

80 years old William Steel and 79 Years Old Adwoa Steel [couple] has emergerd as fatest man and woman [Oldest Runner Category] at the Happy FM-Marina Lakeside Park Family Fun Run.

William Steel completed the 6 kilometer race in 45 minutes 30 seconds whiles the wife Adwoa Steel completed 58 minites 90 seconds.

The couples were presented with Gold Medals, electrical appliances and others items

The 13th edition of the Run and walk is an event that promotes healthy lifestyles and celebrates Ghana’s Independence Day.

The run and walk, which comes off every 6th March, covered 6k and 10km distances around Ashaley Botwe in the Adentan Municipality.

The event was not just a race, but a fun-filled day that brought families and individuals together. Participants were treated to a nutritious breakfast to fuel their bodies aftermath the heartwarming race.

The organizers also planned a range of exciting activities for participants to enjoy, including football and a cannon ride on the Marina Park lake, among other exiting sporting activities.

The atmosphere was electric as participants of all ages and backgrounds took to the streets to showcase their endurance in running and walking.
