Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Chairmanship Aspirant, Isaac Koomson, has outlined his policies to be implemented when voted into power.

The former GHALCA Vice chairman heads into the poles to challenge incumbent Kudjoe Fianoo.

Koomson says GHALCA is currently ineffective under its current leadership thus change is needed to revive the welfare body of the clubs.

Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports on his ambitions when elected as GHALCA chairman, he proposed a GHALCA Welfare Scheme which will be a game-changer for members of the association.

According to him, each club will be entitled to pay an amount per annum which will then be invested by fund managers. Clubs will be entitled to GHC 10,000 each from the welfare scheme.

“GHALCA is currently on an intensive care unit. There is no money and the staff at the office have been asked to go home. During Alhaji Raji’s administration where I was also the Vice-Chairman, we had four workers and we managed to keep them”.

“When I am voted into office I am going to elevate the structure of GHALCA to have a General Secretary.

“Also there are plans to seek support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports to get some personnel from the National Service Scheme or NACOB to work in our offices. This could have been done by the incumbent.

“I have been in that seat before as Vice and I can turn things around at GHALCA when the opportunity is given”, Isaac Koomson outlined some of his visions on Happy 98.9FM.

The GHALCA Elections comes off on Thursday 21 January 2021.
