GPLonHappyFM: Week 10 wrap-up: Hearts, Kotoko fail to record wins

The two Ghana Premier League giants failed to record wins in this round of matches as Hearts of Oak drew against Berekum Chelsea on Saturday and Asante Kotoko lost their first home game of the season to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

Berekum Chelsea kept their home record intact after a 1-1 draw with Hearts of Oak.

Chelsea are unbeaten so far at home in the ongoing season.

Hearts of Oak were looking to secure another away win against Berekum Chelsea but it ended goalless at the Golden City Park.

Hearts coach Kosta Papic was unhappy with his team’s performance after the game blaming his players for their lackadaisical attitude towards the game.

The Phobians after the game have accumulated 16 points after matchday 10 in the ongoing season.

Asante Kotoko 0-1 Aduana Stars

Asante Kotoko lost their second game of the season to Aduana Stars on matchday 10 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It was their first home defeat in the ongoing campaign.
The Porcupine Warriors played one of the best games this season but failed to put the ball at the back of the net.

Samuel Bio’s beautiful strike for Aduana Stars in the 73rd minute ensured Aduana Stars recorded their first away win of the season.

Elsewhere, Legon Cities recorded their second win of the season with a 5-2 win over AshantiGold on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
It was a shocking result in this round of fixture considering AshGold’s good run of form in the ongoing season.
The Royals came from behind to score five goals after AshantiGold had taken the lead in the game.

The win saw Legon Cities move out of the relegation zone.
