Father of the late Ghanaian dancehall music act, Ebony Reigns has expressed his desire to never remember the day his daughter died.

He indicated that the day was so bitter a day in his life and wishes to forget the day entirely.

Affectionately referring to his late daughter as Nana Hemaa (Queen), Nana Opoku Kwarteng said,
“I curse the day Nana Hemaa died and I wished I don’t remember thay day so I decide not to celebrate it. It was so bitter a day and thing that happened in my life”.

Accroding to him, the family
on the 8th of February every year regardless of not wanting to relive their pain only have a solemn ceremony at her burial grounds. “We observe tradition and pour libation because we cannot do without it”.

Nana Opoku Kwarteng made this known in an interview with DJ Advicer on the Ayekoo After Drive show aired on Happy 98.9 FM.

Musician Ebony Reigns died at the age of 20 after her car reportedly collided with a bus in south western Ghana on February 8, 2018.

The Afrobeat and Dancehall performer, christened Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng was driving to Accra following a trip to Sunyani with two friends.

The Ghanaian musician was rushed to Bechem Government Hospital, where she was treated but later died from her injuries.

Her two friends were also killed in the crash, with the driver of her car surviving minor injuries.
