Ghana defender, Mohammed Salisu, finally made his debut for Southampton on Thursday in the FA Cup game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 21-year-old played the full throttle in the game for the Saints as they recorded a 2-0 win to book a place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The former Real Valladolid defender impressed on his debut as Southampton kept a clean sheet at the Molineux.
Salisu who joined Southampton last summer for 12 million euros had his debut delayed due to injuries and other out of the field issues.
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl named the Ghanaian International in his squad for the game and also handed him his first start as a Saints player.
Goals from Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong ensured Southampton emerged winners against Wolves in this game.
Southampton will play away to AFC Bournemouth in the quarter-finals on the weekend of 20 of March.
