Western Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Charles Bissue has disclosed that his party is learning from the mistakes of the opposition National Democratic Congress in order not to fall prey to these mistakes.

According to him, the NDC in recent times have been hit with crises ranging from their leadership in parliament, resignation of Okudzeto Ablakwa from the Appointments Committee, the sack of Allotey Jacobs and the suspension of two others, among other things.

He believed that his party, on the other hand, has distinguished itself with great leadership and a united front.

Speaking to Happy FM’s Don Prah on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, however, he noted that despite the successes chalked by his party, the NPP is willing to learn from the NDC.

“Have you ever heard Bawumia or Alan speak on flagbearership issues? So where is the problem? The National Chairman has called everyone to calm. Look at the united front of party executives. The NPP has no crisis like the NDC but we are learning from the NDC on what we are not supposed to do. In every research you consider the good and bad sides”, he stated.

Days after the 2020 election, some members of the NPP declared their intent to contest in the 2024 elections as flagbearers of the party.

Names like Vice President Dr Bawumia, Minister for Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen all sprung up for the presidential race in 2024.
