President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed nine women among his thirty-nine (39) deputy ministers who will be working with his ministers over the next four years of his second term of presidency.

Below is the list of female appointees to serve as deputy ministers:

Hon. Mavis Nkansah-Boadu, MP- Roads and Highways

Hon. Naana Eyiah Quansah, MP – Interior

Hon. Ama Pomaa Boateng, MP – Communications and digitiization

Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu, MP- Gender, Children and Social Protection

Ms. Fatimatu Abubakar- Information

Hon. Nana Dokua Asiamah Adjei, MP- Trade and Industry

Ms. Diana Asonaba Dapaah-Office of Attorney General & Ministry of Justice

Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, MP- Education

President Akufo-Addo said he “is hopeful that, just as was done for his Ministers, Parliament will, on a bi-partisan basis, expedite the approval of his Deputy Ministerial nominees, so they can join the government forthwith, and assist in the delivery of his mandate for his second term in office.”
