” Before I entered Parliament, I was working. I had to leave the day to day running of the business to someone. Now that i am not in office anymore my business is still running and I pay visits occasionally. Life will be unbearable for parliamentarians who leave office without any side job as a means of income.”

According to him, the expensive nature of politics practised in the country demands that large sums of money are invested into political campaigns in order to attain votes.

“Our income as parliamentarians cannot sustain us. You cannot sponsor your planners and political campaigns without any additional income from a side job. I will advise parliamentarians to have additional businesses that will bring extra income.”
He further revealed that parliamentarians who wish to explore other business ventures should not hesitate to as it is accepted and approved by the constitution.

” The law allows for parliamentarians to hold other positions and venture into other businesses outside Parliament as long as they seek clarification from the Members Holding of Properties”.

Speaking on the Happy FM’s Morning Show, he revealed that he is yet to recover from the expenses accumulated in the 2020 parliamentary elections.

“Not at all, it is too early. Our politics have become expensive. A lot of money has to be put into the campaigns. It will take a while to recover any financial losses.
