Comedienne, Heiress Jacinta, also nicknamed the Queen of Ghana comedy, has called on African leaders to be more accountable in their leadership.

Interviewed on Happy98.9FM’s Ayekoo After-Drive show, she told host, Doctar Cann that one thing Ghanaians and Nigerians, possibly Africans in general seek in common is accountability and good leadership.

She said, “We want our leaders to be accountable. If they say they will do something, they must do it and if they can’t, they should at least be accountable for it. I think that is just what the people want. We understand that you can fall out of line. It is normal but if you do, you should be able to own it”.

“Stand up and say that this has happened because of this but if things are passing us and we try to act or react and you act like we’re being stubborn, that’s when the people revolt and it’s not really nice”, the comedienne further expressed.

Speaking on the ‘Fix the country’ campaign, Jacinta commented that it is obvious that a lot of people have issues that they would want fixed like roads, the educational system, the healthcare system and a whole lot, therefore, as tax-paying citizens, she believes they have every right to voice these concerns.
