Electroland Ghana Limited has donated an amount of USD 10,000 in support of the Black Stars’ participation in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

This is in response to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s call on corporate bodies to support the team and other national teams for their upcoming international assignments.

Electroland made this donation to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif at their office at Paloma.

Hon. Mustapha Ussif thanked Electroland for their kind gesture and urged the corporate communities to emulate this gesture.

“On behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana and the good people of Ghana let me thank Electroland Ghana (NASCO) for responding to the President’s clarion call for corporate bodies to support our national football teams”.

“This will go a very long way to lifting some of the financial burdens off Government in funding the qualification to the World Cup and Ghana’s participation in the upcoming AFCON in Cameroon”, Hon Mustapha Ussif stated at the brief presentation ceremony which was held at the Head office of Electroland Ghana on Wednesday morning.

National Sales Manager of Electroland Ghana, Mr. Vincent Azan Gbiok also explained that the company will present an amount of $10,000 per month for the next six months to the Ministry of Sports.

The Government of Ghana has budgeted $25 million dollars for the Black Stars’ Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup campaigns as well as for other programs of the national teams.

Ghana President, H. E. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo donated seed money of US$ 10million to support the project in April this year.
