Ghanaian Pastor/Spirtualist Apostle Adjei Boafour also known as Sunsum Kese3 has disclosed the need for all Pastors to pour libation before preaching to their brethren.

He described the act as normal and not an abomination like most people make it seem.

He explained the term libation as an act of communicating in the spirit to whatever power or authority you believe in.

In an interview with Rev Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9 FM’s Nsempii he said, “It is very normal for a Pastor to pour libation. It should be something they do before preaching but due to the changes in the religion, they have ignored it although it is a must”.

He however shared that a few others who know the significance of doing it do it.

“They do it without letting others know about it. About 90% of Pastors in Ghana pour libation but they do it without letting it out and I do not understand why they hide it because there is nothing wrong in pouring libation as a matter of fact it is a must” he said.

Explaining why this act is important he stated that it is because every man of God deals with things of the spirit which means, “You will definitely have to communicate with spirits and in order to do this you have to pour libation as a sign of respect and a way of announcing yourself for them to speak through you” he said.

The spiritualist believes, as part of our tradition, the act of pouring libation is one we cannot do without and the earlier we come to terms with it the better it will for us all.
