Reigning VGMA artist of the year, Diana Hamilton, has disclosed that even though she is a fully registered member of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), she cannot confirm receiving royalties in recent times.

According to her, she has received money from GHAMRO in the past, added that ‘I cannot confirm receiving any recent payment’.

that responded to whether or not she has received any money from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) since it seems they have started paying artistes their royalties.

Speaking in an interview with Doctar Cann on Showbiz Xtra which airs on Happy98.9FM, Diana Hamilton, emphatically stated that she has heard that some people have already received some royalties recently, however, she cannot confirm or deny receiving hers because she has not checked her account.

Diana Hamilton, who is currently UK-based has confirmed that she receives royalties from the UK royalty distribution organization and she trusts the system.

A lot of artistes have been complaining consistently about not receiving their royalties even though they are registered members of GHAMRO.

Some artistes like Stonebwoy, Celestine Donkor, among others, have confirmed receiving better amounts of money from GHAMRO as compared to previous times, and the organization says it is still paying artistes, as there is a long list to be sorted.
