Ghanaian Football legend, Abdul Razak, believes it is time for him to be handed the vacant Black Stars Coach position.

The GFA is currently in search of a new coach after Milovan Rajevac was sacked last week following Ghana’s abysmal and shameful exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana’s participation in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations ended in the group stage after losing to both Morocco and Comoros.

In the wake of the dismissal of Milovan Rajevac, reports have it that, over 100 applications has been received by the Ghana Football Association.

The Asante Kotoko legend, Abdul Razak, says he is competent to lead the team but has been ignored many times when he applies for the vacant job.

“This is the time for me. I always put in my application whenever there’s a vacancy but I have always been ignored”, he told Happy FM.

He also revealed how his applications have been constantly ignored in the past when he applied.

“I have seen your C.V and it’s good compared to the other applicants. In coaching wise, playing-wise, I swear, you are ahead of all of them but coach, they won’t give it to you”. Razak revealed

“So I answered him and said I know but if I don’t send it they’ll one day tell me that I didn’t apply yet they’re all lies”

Abdul Razak won the AFCON with the Black Stars in 1978 and was named the African Best Player of the year later in that year
