Fashion designer at She Stich, Chelsea Gloria Frimpong, has shared some tips to help women in choosing the right dress for Valentine.

In an interview with eTV Ghana’s Mercy Bee the EkumfiPrincess on the Girl Vibes, Madam Frimpong noted that the body type, complexion, the location and it’s type of setting, and the time of the date are all things to consider in choosing the perfect dress.

“If it’s the beach in the afternoon for instance, brighter colors are allowed. I don’t think it’s appropriate to do sequins in the afternoon because it’s bright and it glitters so sequins are better worn in the evening”, she said.

Detailing on dress types that will match with various body types, Chelsea mentioned that ladies with bigger backsides and hips can go for bodycon dresses, jumpsuits and generally any dress that shows off their figure.

Ladies who do not have big lower bodies, according to her, should go for outfits that are flare at the lower part so that the focus is more on the upper body.

Afia Akomaa Osei, also a fashion designer who spoke on the show, added that women who are not curvy can still go ahead to wear bodycon dresses if they think it looks good on them and they feel confident in them.
