Hasaacas Ladies head coach, Yusif Basigi, is confident of beating Ampem Darkoa in the final of the Women’ Premier League on Saturday.

Hasaacas Ladies will face Ampem Darkoa in a repeat of last season’s final at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The winner of the tie will represent Ghana at the Women’s WAFU Championship which serves as qualifiers for the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Speaking in an interview, Yusif Basigi reacted to comments from Ampem Darkoa coach Nana Darkwa on the final game coming up on Saturday.

“We are going to represent Ghana. The players are even aware of this. Even last year we had the best of players, we didn’t go unbeaten. But this season we have a depleted team, yet still, we have set a new record winning 46 points in the league. We have lost seven players but still our models are working.

Basigi added that Hasaacas Ladies will want to return to the CAF Women’s Champions League which is their motivation heading into this game.

“It’s a big motivation because the biggest platform is the Champions League which is more than enough to sell the image of Ghana and women’s football as a whole. Now the Champions League has made the women’s game very competitive.

“It is our target to represent Ghana very well in the Champions League. Ampem Darkoa is not a team that I will underrate. I respect the coach and the players very well”.
