The second edition of Ghana’s rap reality show, ‘Rapture’ has reached the battle stage.

After a tough auditioning phase, the best rap talents were selected from across the triangle to represent the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Western regions.

For the first time in the history of rapture, we may have a rap goddess. Adwoa Owusu Ansah, aka Too Spyce representing the Greater Accra region is the only female to make it to the battle stage and hopes to take home the title.

Contestants will battle it out at this stage and participants who accumulate the highest points on the leaderboard will qualify for the next round of the contest.

Project Lead for Rapture II, Ato Kwamina, says the contest has garnered a lot of interest this time around and promises its audience nothing but the best. “This year is going to be intriguing and filled with the unexpected as we are definitely going to outdo ourselves this year. Just watch out for us as we bring to the whole of Ghana a grand contest.”

‘Rapture’ is beautifully and creatively coined from source words Rap + Culture and Future seeks to keep the rap culture alive. ‘Rapture’ will also provide a phenomenal opportunity for Hip-hop to shine.

The winner of Rapture II will take home a whopping GHS 10,000 among other amazing prizes.

Rapture II is supported by e.tv Ghana, HappyFM, 4Syte TV, Black Avenue Musik, Crux Global, Ghanaweb and B&FT.
