Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has endorsed replica jerseys from Ghanaian Sportwear manufacturing company Kaysports Limited.
The Vice President showed his support for the sportswear brand, when a team from the company paid a courtesy call at his office and presented different variety of their jerseys to him.
“I am happy to receive these items from you. Thank you and I assure you that government will continue to support the sports industry. There is the need to digitize all sporting activities to help mobilise revenue for the growth of the sports industry,” the Vice President said.
He also used the opportunity to encourage Ghanaians to take their fitness seriously and maintain a healthy body.
Speaking on behalf of Kaysports Ltd, the Chief Executive Officer; Kwame Owusu Ameyaw said, “at Kaysports Limited is a multi-disciplinary sports company and strive to provide quality services and products the sports industry. What we just presented to H.E Vice President of the Republic of Ghana is our newest and yet to be launched product. These replica jerseys can be used for all occasions and this is our organisation’s contribution towards the national fitness day campaign launched recently by the Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia. We are also grateful to him for endorsing our products” he said.
Other dignitaries who were present at the short ceremony were Mr. Seth Panwum Boyoyo; the Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, a Technical Advisor to the Vice President at the Jubilee House and officials from Kaysports.
