Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has accused the two (2) leading political parties in the country, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of lacking ideas to run a country.

He premises this on his allegation that the two parties keep stealing ideas from his wealth of knowledge on how to run the Ghanaian economy.

According to him, although they keep stealing these ideas, they can never succeed in executing them flawlessly because they do not understand the concepts and ideas in entirety.

Sharing ideas on how to resolve Ghana’s economic woes, he argues the country must invest more in the local production of rice and poultry. With Ghana producing and eating what it grows, it can then export the surplus for foreign exchange, strengthening the cedi.

The business man also advised the government to establish processing factories for cocoa, rather than export them in their raw state.

With Ghana’s large bauxite deposits, Kofi Akpaloo argues the country should be able to refine the ore and process it for aluminum.

“The LPG has the solution to Ghana’s problems but the NPP and NDC have done nothing to solve the problems of Ghana. The NPP and NDC have constantly stolen portions of my speech and ideas and that is visible in the recent addresses of President Akufo-Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama,” he told Don Kwabena Prah on Happy98.9FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political talk show.

Kofi Akpaloo blamed the inability of the NPP and NDC to properly run the country to the channels they go through to come into power.

According to him, the cash and carry system always comes back to hunt most politicians. “Most of these politicians pay money to electorates to vote them to power and the source of these funds are private individuals and businessmen who call in favors after the elections are won. So, when you come to power you can only pay them back by awarding them contracts.”
