Goals from Michael Otuo and Mohammed Suleman powered Legon Cities to a resounding 2-0 win over regional rivals Great Olympics at the El-Wak Stadium in match-week 6.

The Royals had a jittery start to the campaign and were winless in their last two matches but have finally put a halt to it to get back into winning ways this time around.

The homesters started really well in search for goal but Kofi Kordzi’s pass to pick up his teammate at far post went out for a restart.

Great Olympics were also looking smart at the beginning with a quick transition from midfield to attack but the host looked solid at the back.

Legon Cities were finally awarded a penalty on the 40th minute after Alex Aso was brought down in the box. Michael Otou stepped up and scored beautifully to hand his side the lead.

In the second half, the ‘Dade’ outfit returned on an explosive note in search for equalizer but most of their attacks were well checked, denying them a goal.

The Royals with a huge chance on the 50th minute but Kofi Kordzi couldn’t make it count to double their lead.

Finally, Mohammed Suleman scored on the 60th minute mark to snatch their second of the day and looked like sealing the win. They held on to it to full time to grind all three points and get back to winning ways.

Olympics despite today’s loss are still in the top four, sitting 3rd with 11 points, whereas Legon Cities have climbed to the 5th position on 10 points.
