#Qatar2022onGMABC: Happy Sports to delve into Morocco’s historic World Cup run with key personalities

Ghana’s number sports station, Happy98.9 FM is set to host renowned sports personalities on a Twitter Spaces discussion on the Moroccan success story in the ongoing FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Following a 1-0 victory over Portugal in the quarterfinals, the Atlas Lions of Morocco became the first African side to go to the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup.

Morocco was housed in Group F with football giants, Belgium, Croatia and Canada remain unbeaten in the competition after beating both Belgium and Canada while settling for a draw against Croatia to qualify for the knockout stages.

Scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 4 pm, the insightful discussion will host distinguished and influential journalists across the continent including Ghana’s finest, Jerome Otchere, Dr George Akoto Boafo, Ayishatu Zakaria Ali and Morocco’s Izem Anass as they engage on the topic, “The Moroccan Success Story; What the rest of Africa can learn.”

Morocco is set to face France in the semi-finals of the competition on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, as they remain confident of lifting the trophy for the first time in history.
