Father of Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey,Jacob Partey, says he is optimistic about his son’s club, Arsenal, wining the English Premier League title(EPL) this season.

Arsenal are seeking their first league trophy since 2004 and are currently eight points clear of defending champions Manchester City with just three losses in 28 games.

Thomas Partey, who has been a key player in Arsenal’s midfield, also hopes to win his first league title in England following his big-money move from Atletico Madrid in 2020.

Partey’s father believes that his son and his teammates can win this coveted trophy.

“Whatever you ask from God, you will definitely get it. So, I pray Arsenal wins the EPL this season because that is where my son plays. We leave everything to God because he has the final say but I believe God will grant us the trophy,” he told Angel TV as reported by Footballghana.

The 29-year-old is with the Black Stars preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header against Angola.

They will host Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday and then travel to Luanda on Monday, March 27
