King Faisal forward Samuel Adom Antwi credits teammates and coach for MTN FA Cup finals qualification

King Faisal striker, Samuel Adom Antwi, has praised his teammates and coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu after his side secured qualification to the final of the ongoing 2022/23 MTN FA Cup.

Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu guided King Faisal FC to a precious 3-2 win over Nsoatreman FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in the second semi-final of the MTN FA Cup.

Samuel Adom Antwi was on target for King Faisal, scoring a 63rd-minute winner to secure qualification for the ‘Insha Allah’ boys.

King Faisal will face Dreams FC in the final on June 17.

Speaking in an interview on Happy 98.9FM, the talented forward said, “Despite Nsoatreman scoring the first goal, we( King Faisal) continued to remain focused and we had that winning mentality to go all out. My teammates and coach played a major role in our qualification and they deserve all the credit. We will try to stay focused so we can go on to win the ultimate”.

He spoke on King Faisal’s chances of avoiding relegation the Premier League.

“Though we haven’t been consistent in the league, we are working effortlessly to avoid relegation. We are very optimistic and my teammates and I are very focused to achieve that”.

King Faisal will be desperate to get back to winning ways, having not won a game in their last four matches in the betPawa Premier League.They will host FC Sarmatex on Sunday, May 21 in their match day 31 fixture.
