Coach of Techiman Eleven Wonders, Mensah Logosu says, he’s not been paid for six months.
Coach Logosu in an exclusive interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s Wamputu Sports indicated that he only respects the club enough to not escalate the issue to the GFA. He believes further outbursts would only destroy the club’s progress thus far.
“As I speak I’m owed six months salary. I’m able to survive because I understand the club’s financial situation and I respect the management of the club and once in awhile I get to be given some cedis from those who have poured their heart into the club,” he said.
“If I turn to be angry and impatient I’ll only destroy everything we have worked for and ground down the progress which will all be for nothing. I’ve been able to manage well as a coach and that has even led me to this high,” he added.
The Techiman Eleven Wonders coach also decried that these are some of the major challenges faced by Ghanaian coaches, hence cannot afford the Coach Licensing fees by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Coach Logosu joined Eleven Wonders in September last year for the 2022/23 football season.
He guided Eleven Wonders to the club’s near promotion to next season’s betPawa Premier League. Eleven Wonders won the race in Zone One A as Bofoakwa Tano picked the slot in Zone One B to book their place for the championship playoff.
Eleven Wonders lost the playoffs to Bofoakwa Tano in a 7-6 penalty after the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
