Ghana Premier League giant, Hearts of Oak has appointed Dutch coach, Rene Haddick as the club’s new Technical Director, HappySports can exclusively confirm.

Rene Haddink will be taking over from former assistant coach, David Ocloo, who has acted as interim manager for the club after Coach Slavko Matic was advised to stay away from the club until further notice after some fans prevented him from holding a training session with the playing body ahead of their matchday 20 match against Asante Kotoko last season.

According to reports, Ocloo has made a return to Asante Kotoko as an assistant coach after recently leaving the club.

He is set to resume his previous role under Prosper Narteh, his former boss who has also returned to the club as head coach.

Rene Haddink is expected to land in Ghana with two other coaches on Saturday 29 July 2023.

He will be assisted by former Ghana international Laryer Kingston and Don Bortey who will work as part of the backroom staff.

Details of his contract are however yet to be revealed as the Accra-based club seeks to re-build not only the team but its reputation in Ghana Football as one of the biggest clubs in Ghana and on the continent.

The Phobians placed 12th on the league log in the just-ended Ghana Premier League season.
