National Chapters Committee (NCC) Chairman of Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak, Elvis Herman Hesse has expressed his disappointment over the publication of an apology issued by the NCC to the club’s board for the negative conduct of some of supporters in the past.

The issue arose during the club’s internal deliberations on how to move forward, where one of the active patrons suggested that an apology should be made for the actions of certain supporters in previous years.

The supporters, acting with the best of intentions, believed it was in the greater interest of the club to issue this apology, regardless of whether they were right or wrong, Elvis Herman disclosed in an interview on Happy FM.

Elvis Herman Hesse, upon learning that the apology had been published, voiced his disappointment, stating that he believed the club had initiated a positive internal process that would help unite the team.

He expressed concerns that the public release of the apology could lead to further division within the club rather than fostering unity.

The apology, which was rendered by the NCC, was directed to the Board of Directors of Hearts of Oak for any wrongful and unprofessional behavior. It was in response to an incident that led to the sacking of the club’s former coach, Slavko Matic, who had been prevented from training with the players due to the actions of certain supporters.

The NCC Chairman’s disappointment in the publication of the apology hints at possible internal disagreements within the club over the appropriate course of action to address past grievances and improve the team’s overall conduct.
