Asante Kotoko have sealed the signing of Henry Ansu who joins the club from Berekum Chelsea.

The club revealed their new player on Tuesday through their official Twitter handle.

Having completed the mandatory medicals the defender has agreed to a three-year deal with the club and is expected to elevate the team’s performance in the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old has made over 80 appearances for Berekum Chelsea including a great performance last season which propelled the team to a seventh-place finish in the Ghana Premier League despite struggling at the beginning of the campaign.

Ansu will now join his teammates in Beposo including his former teammate from Berekum Chelsea Kalo Ouattara who was unveiled moments ago by Kotoko as they continue with preparation for the upcoming season under the new coach Prosper Narteh Ogum who returned to Kotoko after leaving at the end of last two season.

The Porcupines Warriors are hoping to ride on Ansu’s experience in the Ghana Premier League to challenge for honours as well as mentor young players in the team.

The club will open their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign with a game against Accra Lions.
