The spotlight was on Ghanaian forward Gabriel Dadzie, the formidable forward of Arta/Solar7, whose outstanding performance played a pivotal role in his team’s resounding qualification to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

With a stunning brace in the first-round clash against Horseed FC, Dadzie propelled his team to the next round of the competition.

The Djibouti Premier League representative, Arta/Solar7, left an indelible mark with an aggregate victory of 6-0 over Somalia’s Horseed FC in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Dadzie was the star of the show, netting two goals and contributing two crucial assists, showcasing his ability to influence the game in multiple ways.

Amidst the celebratory atmosphere, Dadzie in an exclusive interview on Wamputu Sports with Joe Debrah, humbly directed the spotlight towards the team’s preparation as the foundation for their success. “Our qualification to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup is a result of our team’s dedicated and adequate preparation”.

“We knew that facing Horseed FC wouldn’t be an easy challenge, and our meticulous planning both on and off the field gave us the edge we needed.”

The upcoming challenge for Arta/Solar7 is nothing short of daunting, as they are set to lock horns with the illustrious Zamalek, a giant of African football.

Commenting on the impending clash, Dadzie expressed a mix of determination and respect. “Zamalek is a storied club with a remarkable history in this competition. We have immense respect for their achievements,” Dadzie remarked. “However, we are not backing down. We’ll carry the confidence from our recent victory and our preparation into the next round. It’s going to be an electrifying encounter.”

“We have a fantastic group of players and a coaching staff that’s truly invested in our growth. Our unity is our strength, and it’s what propels us forward.

“We are representing Djibouti on a grand stage, and we’re motivated to make our club proud. Our fans have been incredible, and we’ll give our all to continue this journey in the CAF Confederations Cup.”

Arta/Solar7 will host Zamalek at home on September 15 before going away a week later.
