Head coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies, Joe Nana Adarkwa, has expressed immense pride and confidence in his team’s performance as they clinched a coveted spot in the African Women’s Champions League.

Following their remarkable journey through the WAFU Zone B qualifiers, Ampem Darkoa Ladies have etched their name in history as the second Ghanaian club to secure a place in the prestigious tournament.

In an exclusive interview with Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports with Joe Debrah, he said, “Psychologically we were the better side, we have a very young team and it helped us during the game. I told the girls we couldn’t repeat what happened to us last year. We had to pick above our weights in this year’s competition.”

The Ghanaian champions demonstrated their resilience and determination on the field, securing a decisive 1-0 victory over their opponents.

This hard-fought win not only earned them the regional title in the WAFU Zone B qualifiers but also punched their ticket to the African Women’s Champions League.

With their eyes set on continental glory, Ampem Darkoa Ladies will be representing Ghana on the grand stage of women’s football.

Coach Adarkwa’s belief in his team’s psychological edge sets a confident tone as they prepare to take on formidable opponents from across the continent.

Their journey to the Women’s Champions League promises to be an exciting one, as they strive to bring home the ultimate prize in African women’s football.
