Public Relation Officer for National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Pearl Sateckla has urged Ghanaians to serve as watchdogs to government properties.

She hinted that, most people disguise themselves as government workers wearing reflector jackets to traffic poles, meanwhile they’re there to destroy and steal some traffic gadgets.

she has cautioned citizens to always approach anyone who is seen around these traffic poles and question them.
“if you see anyone in reflector jacket around these traffic poles, please do well to approach and question them of their duty because some thieves have disguised themselves as government workers to commit this atrocity”

She also indicated that the Ghana Police Service would put road traffic enforcement cameras around these places to capture offenders and subsequently prosecute them.

The traffic lights situation in Ghana has been a headache and a recurring nuisance for motorists and pedestrians.

In the past few months, Ghana’s leading radio station, Happy 98.9 FM embarked on a mission to address the pressing issue of malfunctioning traffic lights across the country’s capital, Accra.

Recognizing the chaos and safety risks caused by faulty traffic lights, the station took it upon itself to lead a comprehensive campaign dubbed “#FixTheTrafficLights.”
