Member of Parliament for Wa, Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has reiterated the commitment of the Minority caucus in Parliament to fighting for the interests of the Ghanaian people. He emphasized that their protest was not driven by a conflict of interest but by a deep concern for proper resource management.

Pelpuo in a passionate address during the #OccupyBoG demonstration, stated, “There’s no conflict of interest; we are fighting for the interest of the people; we constantly represent the people and insist that those in authority manage our resources properly.”

He criticized the Bank of Ghana (BOG) for what he described as its failure in preventing money from being stolen under its watch. He continued, “The Bank of Ghana has failed in its endeavor; it has allowed money to be stolen out of it, and those monies cannot be accounted for. We cannot allow for monies to continue to go to waste.”

The #OccupyBoG protest, organized by the Minority caucus in Parliament, seeks to voice their displeasure with the way the Bank of Ghana manages its resources. The protest is a symbol of their commitment to holding authorities accountable and advocating for transparency and responsible resource management on behalf of the Ghanaian people.
