Yussif Basigi, the coach of the Black Princesses, has exuded confidence as they approach the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Guinea Bissau. Ghana’s U20 women’s national team has diligently prepared for this pivotal clash scheduled for October 8, 2023.

Basigi remains steadfast in his ambition to uphold Ghana’s unblemished record of participating in every FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup. He emphasizes the importance of giving their all in this elimination match, whether they’re playing at home or away. Basigi acknowledges the team’s reputation for consistent U-20 World Cup qualifications and vows to maintain it while respecting their formidable opponents.

Speaking on Happy FM, he stressed the significance of thorough preparation to secure a spot in Colombia. He also praised the players for their impressive performance during the WAFU B tournament in Kumasi, emphasizing the need to replicate that success in this crucial World Cup qualifying stage.

The Black Queens aspire to qualify for the upcoming tournament in Colombia, with their sights set on surpassing previous group stage exits at the World Cup.

The Team is expect to depart Ghana for Guinea Bissau on Friday October 6.
