Alhaji Grusah,the Bankroller of King Faisal FC, has vehemently denied rumors that King Faisal’s case against the Ghana Football Association (GFA) had been thrown out.
Grusah in an interview on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports, stated with conviction, “It is never true our case against the Ghana Football Association has been thrown out. If it’s not for thievery and corruption, certain things would not be going on at the Association. Football people have to know and act because they may not know when these actions by certain individuals may come back to haunt them.”
This resolute stance by Alhaji Grusah came as a testament to his unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of justice and accountability within the football industry. He was resolute in his belief that the allegations against the GFA required thorough investigation and that justice must prevail.
Supporting Alhaji Grusah’s position, Kwame Quayeson, the lawyer representing King Faisal FC, clarified the legal status of their case. “The main case of contempt is still in court, and we would go for a hearing on the 18th of this month, which is October. It is never true our case has been thrown out. There are certain individuals going around spreading some falsehood, which is very wrong, so I would advise the general public to desist from such misinformation.”
Nonetheless, it is noteworthy that recent reports suggest that an injunction application, initially lodged by King Faisal FC against the GFA concerning the GFA Elections Roadmap, was voluntarily withdrawn within an Accra High Court (General Jurisdiction). King Faisal FC’s legal representatives opted to retract their application, resulting in the judge dismissing the injunction request without addressing any cost-related matters.It is important to mention that these reports have been refuted by King Faisal’s legal team.
Despite these legal challenges, the GFA Elections proceeded as scheduled last week in Tamale, where President Kurt Okraku was retained, and new members joined the Executive Council, which was subsequently sworn into office on Monday.
These events highlight the ongoing legal complexities within the world of Ghana football, which Alhaji Grusah and his lawyer are determined to address through their ongoing case against the GFA.
