Asante Kotoko’s head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, is confident that his team can reach the top of the league by the end of the first round of the current 2023/24 betPawa Ghana Premier League season.

“Looking at the remaining matches for the first round, I think we need to ensure that we win all these games so that at the end of the first round, we are top of the league. Kotoko is known to be the best so we must strive to prove it”.

Ogum also emphasized the importance of player aggression on the field. According to Ogum, aggression, confidence, and commitment serve as the defining qualities of the illustrious Ghanaian champions.

These sentiments were shared following their hard-fought 2-2 draw against Nations FC and in anticipation of their upcoming home clash with Bechem United in the seventh round of the Ghana Premier League.

The accomplished Ghana Premier League-winning coach also stressed the need to safeguard the team spirit that has been cultivated over the years.

Asante Kotoko is currently 7th on the league log after Matchday 6 in the GPL. They will host Bechem United on Sunday 29 October and will hope to return home to winning ways.
