Nsoatreman FC Gen. Manager dismisses match-fixing claims following victory over Berekum Chelsea

In the wake of their recent triumph over Berekum Chelsea in the 2023/24 betPawa Ghana Premier League matchday 7, Nsoatreman FC’s General Manager, Eric Alagidede, has vehemently refuted allegations of match-fixing. His comments come on the back off rumors suggesting a covert arrangement to settle for a draw between the two teams due to a supposed close relationship. However, Mr. Alagidede, in an exclusive interview on Happy FM, unequivocally denied these allegations.

The high-stakes clash at the iconic Golden City Park unfolded as an intensely competitive encounter, with both teams leaving no stone unturned in their quest to secure a victory.

Before the conclusion of the first half, Nsoatreman FC managed to secure the crucial opening goal, courtesy of a well-timed strike from Eric Osei Bonsu in the 32nd minute. This solitary goal marked the difference between the two sides as they headed into halftime.

The game concluded with Nsoatreman FC emerging triumphant with a final score of 1-0 against Berekum Chelsea, a testament to their resilience and determination. The win elevated Nsoatreman FC to the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings, amassing 13 points. Moreover, with an upcoming fixture on the horizon, they stand poised to extend their lead by a potential four points.

During the interview, Eric Alagidede strongly rebutted the allegations of match-fixing, asserting, “I do not know where this is coming from, and I want to use this platform to disband such claims. I didn’t receive any call from my CEO, and the only conversation I remember having with the coach when both teams went for a cooling break had nothing to do with match-fixing of any sort.”

In the aftermath of this victory, Nsoatreman FC’s General Manager remains committed to maintaining the integrity of the sport, dispelling any notions of impropriety, and continuing to lead his team to success in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
