PRO of the Online Drivers Association, Hayford Acquah has hinted that Kennedy Agyapong is the best shot for the ruling New Patriotic Party to retain power and break the 8 come December 2024

During a special segment of the “Nk)mm) k3se3” on Happy 98.9 FM’s “Epa Hoa Daben” socio-political talk show, he emphatically stated that the Online Drivers Association has no political affiliations and that they are representative of the common people who traverse the length and breadth of Ghana, from the West to the East, and from the North to the South.

He stressed their awareness of the NPP’s intention to select a leader for the 2024 general elections to secure the “break the 8” campaign.

Acquah emphasized the association’s unique perspective, saying, “Realistically we hold the forts of the country. We move around a lot and move with the common people. We also know every corner of the country and we hear a lot, we have the keys.”

He further explained that during their interactions with passengers from diverse backgrounds, a recurring topic of conversation was Kennedy Agyapong. “This may come as a faux but the NPP themselves are not ready to accept it,” Acquah remarked. He shared that out of the approximately 50 passengers he takes on board, around 45 or more consistently discuss Ken Agyapong. This sentiment, he claimed, was shared by all the drivers in their union.

In a surprising revelation, Acquah declared, “Ken Agyapong is ideally the most loved and perfect candidate to represent them come the 2024 elections. People without NPP afflictions are eager to vote for him if he wins the NPP presidential elections and represents the party in the 2024 elections.”

This endorsement comes just days before the NPP’s presidential candidate election scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023. The race is expected to be hotly contested, with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, former Minister for Agriculture Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, and former Mampong MP Francis Addai-Nimoh competing for the coveted flagbearership slot.

Meanwhile, Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is tipped to win Saturday’s presidential primary with his closest contender being Kennedy Agyapong.
