Ghanaian sensational music rap comedian, Kwame Yogot, has cautioned Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to ask permission from him before using any of his songs to campaign for any election.

According to him he found out after the election that his song was used during the Vice President’s NPP Presidential campaign without his consent which he didn’t like.

Talking to Akua Sika on Happy 98.9FM’s Happy Evening Drive he said, “It’s business I’m doing so if you wants to use my song to promote anything of yours I think you should go through the right channels before doing so”.

He stated that he has posted a video and tagged the Vice President asking him never to use any of his songs without his permission but he’s yet to respond.

“I won’t call him out, if he really needs it he should look for me and do the right thing because I’m not happy about how they just went ahead to use my song for their campaign without informing me. They probably see me as a normal artiste or an upcoming artiste which I’m not and even if I am he has to do what’s right” he emphasized.

Kwame Yogot added that apart from the song being his intellectual property, he also saw the Vice President’s act as disrespectful.

“I believe if you want to use someone’s song for your political campaign you should as least inform the person and seek his or her approval before proceeding” he noted.

Newly elected NPP Presidential candidate, Dr Muhamudu Bawumia recently used Kwame Yogot’s ‘Biibi Besi’ during his campaign for the NPP elections.

He emerged victorious beating stiff competition from his closest rival, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong.
